This company called Carlos Marques was founded in 1945 and, nowadays, we have more than 74 years of work. Carlos Marques was established by Carlos Marques and an associate that had installations rented to the company.

In its foundation in 1945, the wines that they commercialized were distributed in wood barrels and their transport was made by ox carts and, in some occasional situations, where the distance was bigger, in a rented car. In 1948, only three years later, they bought a Chevrolet gasoline truck to deliver their products.

Already in the year of 1963, the associate that founded this company decides to leave this society because of its incompatibility in his job and in this same year Carlos Marques decides to start the construction of a warehouse, the same that stands until today, at Azoia - Leiria. With the support of its son-in-law, Luís Marques Henriques, those new installations were inaugurated in 1964. And it was in 1977 that Luís Marques Henriques takes over the management of the company, changing its name to Luís Marques Henriques.
